Contest Brief

We are opening a micro brewery. My name is William so hence, Beer Billy's. Obviously it is a play on beer bellies and will follow a Hillbilly/Redneck theme. I have a few ideas and need someone who can make them come alive.
It will be a fun place so logo might be fun or clever.
That said... of the ideas I submitted, we kind of like the Silhouette (not necessarily fun) but good for branding. There is also a clip art HillBilly with a shotgun... He would be better served to be holding a glass of beer (no gun), but these are just food for thought.

We are not set on anything and are open to expanding our horizons. You might brain storm first before you look at my suggestions. A new perspective could be good.

The three owners initials are WMA in no particular order; maybe incorporate the 3 letters, but hidden somewhere.

This contest is open to all, but a knowledge of the cultural aspects of Hillbillies or Rednecks will be a great advantage.

Leaning more toward the last example downloaded. Silhouette HB jpg. Black and White with a little color for the name and the glass/mug of beer.

    I'd like to thank all who submitted entries for Beer Billy's. There were some that were quite good and some that made us think in different directions. Some of you kept great communication with me and what I wanted and I have to say that is key. The competition will be closing in two hours and we will be making our selection within the next 24 hours. I feel I've gotten to know some of you and am sad that there can be only one winner. There are a few that are very professional and I am sad to turn down. Good luck to all of you with your future projects; I know you will do well.

    I have asked a few of you to do a black and white and gold etching. While discussing with the owners/management, there seems to be agreement that the logo should look good in these formats.

    Take a look at Beer Billy's. Most of the entries don't really understand what a Hillbilly or Redneck is. I'm assuming that you are from Texas and understand. Pay attention to the Silhouette clip art that is included in my suggestions. I takes a second to get it and it lends itself well to branding.
