Contest Brief
I am new to this site, so I wasn't sure what to put for the # of days, but figured that 30 would give me plenty of time to find a great logo - HOWEVER if I see something that knocks my socks off I will select it as the winner early! So don't wait to get your entries in!!!
I am creating a new eliquid line for the vaping industry. This line is based entirely on flavors related to drinks. (Lemonade, coffee, tea, soda, liqueurs, mix drinks, etc. I need a primary graphic for our labels.
I WOULD LIKE THE LOGO TO PORTRAY WHAT THE LINE IS! (Vapes associated with drink flavors) to make the intentions of the line clear by visual association. Please try to give some kind of visual reference to pouring, liquid, drinks, vapor, etc. The winning logo will be one that has more than just the name in a fancy font. I'm building my whole brand around the logo so it's important that it portrays drink flavored vapes!
The name of the company line is "VapePOUR" (with the emphasis on "pour" as it is a line made entirely of drink flavors)
1) BE CREATIVE
2) File needs to be something I can open and edit in the Adobe CS5 suite. I am familiar with Photoshop, but I can learn illustrator, etc if need be. I do need EACH element to be in layers so that I can edit if needed. I WILL be editing in particular the juice name (Strawberry Lemonade in the example I posted) often, so that particular element needs to be something that is fairly easy to edit via layer in Photoshop CS5)
3) Image MUST BE high resolution - Minimum of 600 dpi up to 1200 dpi & needs to be able to scale well from anything between a 4 inch label to a 10 foot banner.
4) I like the idea of making the design of the name active in the purpose of the line as in the example I gave with the liquid pouring out of the "U" and turning into vapor. FEEL FREE to be CREATIVE and use your best judgement.
5) I want the logo to POP with colors that will show up great when printed.
6) We do NOT have any color scheme for the company yet so your choices will very likely drive our color decisions.
7) I would like to see the logo examples with AT LEAST the following elements: Company name (VapePOUR), Tag Line, Juice Name
I am setting this at 30 days to give you time to be creative - however my team will be monitoring daily and we DO appreciate quick turnarounds!
I am setting the payout at $150 HOWEVER if I like your work enough to choose you and it blows me away enough, I tend to be very generous with my graphic artists and to utilize them for future work. My current artist recently had a change of career and is no longer available, so I'm on the hunt for talent.
The file that I attached was just a quick example I threw together as a general idea to get your creative juices flowing!

I like the concept on this one, but not sure about the stretched font. I DO like that you thought outside the box though, it's nice to see designs that don't just copy each other.

idealistically, I would LOVE to see ALL of the elements, but I'm not going to reject entries that at least have the core elements in it. I'm looking for something that is eye catching in the main logo AT LEAST. I did by the way in a reply comment on the logo that I like most so far, ask for them to incorporate the other elements :)

I'm so excited with this contest! I vape with my boyfriend (he have already bought a super nice pipe! haha) , we are so interested in all this world. Here in spain the government is going to outlaw the electronic cigarette for vapes so we are very interested in your project. We'll like to promote this healthy industry all the best we can, so I think I'm going to make you an offer.
I will work on your logo design and maybe I think I can improve your label e-liquid. It's a little poorly designed...haha. Well if I have time for all, I will try to give you a logo design and a label design just for the same price that you offer in your contest.
I hope I'll make all the good I can and you like this idea, so If you want, would you be able to give me a sort of examples of the designs you would like to have?

Thanks! :) And yes, I agree on your comments about my label, but that's why I'm here! :) I am definitely NOT an artist, but thankfully I'm smart enough to know that :) In terms of ideas, my main goal is for the label/logo to illustrate what the line is, which is ENTIRELY made up of vape flavors that are drinks. We are going to have a Coffee line, a Lemonade line, a soda line, a Tea line, a liqueur line, etc. So the logo needs to be generic enough to encompass any of those lines, BUT needs to be specific enough to where it illustrates that the line consists of vapes focused on drinks. In terms of design, I am 100% open to suggestions. The logo that I put up was just a quick idea/thought I had of it to get peoples creative thoughts started :) THANK YOU for your interest in helping to design the logo/label for me :)
