Contest Brief

I require a workable 3D model, engineering drawing, assembly spec sheet, photorealistic render and CAD files that I can take to a machine shop to get this built 100% from a metal or optional specs for a wood based and metal vice/jig. The vice/jig must be durable, relatively affordable and simple to use. Suggestions for materials and improvements are welcomed as long as they comply with the specifications. I require the vice to be 4ft long and 4 inches tall. Below is a picture of my current jig so that you get an idea of what I am looking for, however I would like to create a commercialized version of it and innovate more advanced features than my home-made version.

Note: all renderings should be uploaded with a transparent background in .PNG.
Keep in mind that leather is a soft material and when the vise holds the leather in place there should be some protective padding so the vice does not leave line marks and creases on the leather.

* On my current jig when you open up the vice 2 inches the leather falls in-between the cracks. It is not a very good build and there is no protective padding to protect the leather.

In your Submissions Include:

1. Wood/metal vice jig with removable Stand
2. 1 metal based gig with removable Stand
3. Spec Sheet, Parts, material used, how to build this?
4. Simple summary of your build

I am open to all options and materials.

Note: Please do not make a cloned copy or render a cloned copy of the belt vise based on my jig in the pictures or engineering drawings that I have provided. I already have this jig and this design since I built it. I am looking for a new approach that is more high tech and innovative in design and functionality. Be creative and reinvent a simple way to hold 1 leather belt strap in place. This is a very simple project. All this product does is holds 1 piece of 1.5 inch leather x 48 inches of leather in place so we can paint the edges, sand them or saddle stitch the leather by hand.

Inspiration struck me late. Though i have some good ideas, I'll be needing some extra time to get them done. Therefore a request to extend the DL #extended
