Make a series of building plans for birdhouses (Fun job!)

Contest Brief

This is a project in which you make a 3D- and a technical drawing of various types of birdhouses. Check the attached PDF for reference.

I suggest making use of spruce wood, but it is up to you to decide what material you use. Could even be plastics, stone, bamboo, or any material you come up with. Be creative! Perhaps use a nice background behind the houses or use moss or twigs and leaves to make it less static. Or use a nice tree in which you locate the birdhouse (use same background for all)

Your task is to design the birdhouses yourself or use Pinterest (look at birdhouses) as a source for your drawings. This deal is for 10 different types. From simple ones like attached, to a bit more complex.

Provide a good description and specification with the drawings. Meaning, used materials, hinges, type of screws, nails, or dowels, etc. Make sure your 3D work looks good and be very sure about the measurements. It’s your responsibility that it all fits correctly. Each complete and accepted file pays $7.50 meaning a minimum of $75.00 for this gig.

Note: You deliver the final files and transfer the copyright with transfer of payment.

Doing this job satisfactory will lead to an invite here on Freelancer for the next project which consists of another 50 types of birdhouses and some other design work.

      Thank you for the entries.
      I am not ware of having rejected any of your entries so far. I did not yet rated yours, as I am judging it still. But the two entries you have submitted are looking good, no worries.

      What worries me though, is the fact that you did not entirely read or understood the requirements. So, please have a look again at the requirements list (open the file) and give it another try. We need a design (that may even be one that is on Pinterest) and we need a 3D photo realistic picture, a drawing with sizes/ dimensions and a description of used materials and a manual how to assemble if this is not clear from the drawings. The model you provide, MUST be able to be built. Meaning, no fantasy designs that are not constructible.

    We see beautiful and less beautiful designs, but in general, the quality is high. Thank you all for the work done!

    We realize that there can only be one winner, might make you a bit reluctant to deliver what is required. Nevertheless, do have a good look at the requirements again. An entry should consist at least of a 3D photo realistic picture, a drawing with sizes/ dimensions and a description of used materials with a manual how to assemble if this is not clear from the drawings.

    Don't forget that the model you provide, MUST be constructible. Meaning, no fantasy designs that we cannot built. Other than that, feel free to be creative as you can be.

    FYI, This project is going to be released via a large crowdfunding campaign and the designer who wins will also be mentioned in that campaign.     That's an interesting question! It indicates you do research to what birds there are here and adjust the opening needed for each bird?
    Well, the product is going to be sold worldwide, but mainly in North America and the EU. Bluetits, Robins and all the flying stuff you can find in urban areas, gardens and parks.

    For all contestants: This project is going to be released via a large crowdfunding campaign and the designer who wins will also be mentioned in that campaign. And by the way, more 3D and other photo realistic elements are needed for that campaign, so stay tuned. Just for your information, have a look at Indiegogo or Kickstarter to see how a good campaign is structured. If you feel up to the job, just page me.
