Modernize This Logo (And Deliver Vertical and Horizontal Orientations)

Contest Brief

This is our current logo: http://grif.link/3yzwlC

We want to stick with the underlying elements that we have (triangle, swoosh, pin), but we are open to some more modern interpretations.

Additionally, the logo must be usable in both horizontal and vertical orientations - a huge problem with the current logo is that it can only be used vertically - so it takes up too much room at the top of websites, on business cards, etc...We would be open to having two versions of the logo as long as they share the same elements (similar to what this university did: http://grif.link/ox3CHo).

I started messing around with it myself (http://grif.link/9xCoJJ). You can see that I'm open to refining/polishing the logo's elements and colors - but we need to have some semblance of the original brand.

---What the Winning Logo Needs---

1. Usable in both horizontal or vertical orientations (or deliver two different versions)

2. Resemblance to our original logo in terms of elements and reddish color scheme (though elements can be refined and colors can be tweaked).

P.S. Here are some pin vectors that you can start with: http://grif.link/R1vVwh

Better ask all to upload entries on plain white background. Find help from someone who have contact with design.

Incredible as people get carried away by a mockup ... that does not even allow a good appreciation of work, I think what you comment could be a policy of freelancer.com

Yap, first it's not a point to just glue the elements on the shape with the same gaps, but ok.
Second, someone can not see that triangle slanting to one side, and the font goes on another :)
And at last, here swoosh must represent a visual trail of a hitting pin, this swoosh from the original is extremely unnatural and looks like a hook to a triangle.

All of that is obvious on this mockup, on plain background it will be "WTF"?

you erase my design and five stars are given to a design that modifies my proposal slightly for the modernization of the logo: inclusion of the ball, rounded edges, identical typography ... awesome!.

We need to have the words - but they may be in a different area depending on the form factor of the logo (horizontal vs vertical). For horizontal, I'd imagine the text would be taken OUT of the logo image and put alongside. The vertical can either keep the text on the outside or include it in the triangle as it is current.

Hi, I'd love to help you, but the link where the logo should be is wrong. Clicking on it opens a page that says "Oops! Something went wrong."
