Contest Brief

I have a logo for my company that needs a redesign. The *.ai files of the old logo can be provided. I'd like to stick to the colour scheme.
The old logo (a ball) was focused on banking & finance but we shifted to an independant insurance broker agency. We'd like the logo in form of a medieval shield. I have drawn a note what I think might look good but am open to modifications.
In the first step we need the new logo and in the 2nd step I'd like the logo with same catch phrases, i. g. logo on the left side and a phrase on the right side.
