Contest Brief

I need an invention of an item that I can 3D print into stainless steel that can fit into somebodies mouth in a sleek fashion and deliver 10ncm of force in a perpendicular direction. The tool should be about the shape of an "L" imagine the long arm to be like a handle and short part to be the part the force is delivered from. It should be able to be held in the mouth and when a button is clicked the force is released. It needs to be comfortable to the holder as well as not requiring a battery such as a torque wrench.

Hello again, May I ask what this device will do, to better understand the force needed? When bited down and the button is pressed, my calculations looks like there will be a very light and little hammer hit(like medium tapping with finger)? Is that right?

3mm travel inside a 8mm might be very hard to design. With shell thickness being 1-2mm, there's not much space left. But I'll try, I'm working on the mechanism inside rigth now

Travel length would be from the tip 0 and once force applied 3mm

Uploaded was a pic of what it should look like, this is to go into someone’s mouth. The short part of the L shape shouldn’t be more than 8mm and the long holding arm about 80mm. The force should be 10ncm, similar to a torque wrench needing an exact consistent force. Again no batteries must be quickly able to reload for the next force applied and a button should make the click or force go.

Technically what you are asking for is not a difficult to achieve "design" (Hence why there are so many versions in the dental market) via leverage.
But are you aware that the shrinkage as well as everything else involved in stainless steal 3D printing is going to sooner or later demand it be machined for precision accuracy (since the area of operation is so confining).
And this demands some serious pre-planning.

Such calculations is not something Solidworks/Fusion/CAD users would care to trouble themselves over for such a fee (Which is not guaranteed they shall earn)

You may want to lower your expectations on a working prototype to be delivered to you through this such medium. Not saying it can't happen. But I wouldn't expect too much.
Unless it is not meant to be manufactured to be used but for "looks" only.

      Best of luck!

What is the purpose of this lever? Is it an instrument for dentists?
Is the lower part of the lever supposed to rest on the lower teeth or on the tongue?

Are you demanding an invention from us? Or should it be the intended drawing? It is not entirely clear what you are demanding from us
