Contest Brief

I want a unique, professional, elegant and functional design for an existing website (www.salname.se). It needs to show information about two countries at the same time. The information is calendar, time, weather, astronomy information and quotes on a charming view that the user will return to again. In addition, the user needs to be able to view the calendar in daily, monthly and yearly view.
I have already most of the features on the website but are not happy with the graphics and design. The weather needs to be more appealing with pictures/animation, better color selection and page layout & structure.

It will show date, time, weather, moon and sun information, specific event for the day, quotes, date conversion, and a user account page for the user to make his/her own calendar. We want to show for an example the date in a good-looking way, it should be elegant.
