###### Project Description

Must have taken a introductory critical thinking course and be able to apply types of arguments. Best pitch wins. Need to answer these questions:

In the following portray the logical structure of the argument by putting it into standard form,

and determine whether the argument is valid or invalid by using the patterns for valid and invalid

conditional, disjunctive or conjunctive arguments, as the case may be.

Either I get a twitter account or I risk losing touch with some of my friends. I will sign up for a

twitter account. So, I won’t lose touch with my friends.

In the following, portray the logical structure of the argument by putting it into standard form,

and determine whether the argument is valid or invalid using the patterns for valid and invalid

conditional, disjunctive or conjunctive arguments.

If I sign up for Facebook, I risk losing some of my privacy. But I can’t see what my friends are

doing if I don’t sign up for Facebook. So, I guess I will have to risk losing some of my privacy.

Assess the following argument for soundness (validity and acceptability of the reasons). Identify

the structure of the argument by putting it into standard form, and explain your analysis of both

validity and truth of reasons. If it makes things easier, you may assess for validity using a truth

table (but this is not necessary).

In the Bermuda Triangle, there have been many mysterious disappearances over the past one

hundred years. Most of these disappearances cannot be explained by any known natural cause. If

a disappearance cannot be explained by a known natural cause, then it must be due to some

(mysterious) unknown force or power. So, there must be some kind of unknown force or power

operating within this area to cause the disappearance of so many ships, planes, and people.
