Design and build a device that will monitor when the TxRx (2-way radio) is in use and switch the headphone source automatically from ipod to TxRx. **Deliverables:** 1. Design circuit schematic 2. Design Printed Circuit Board 3. Production of one unit, including component sourcing, printing pcb, and assembly. See Detailed Requirements below and attached files for full project requirements. ## Deliverables **Requirements:** -Must be able to produce deliverables in a timely manor. -Must be able to communicate effectively with employer in written english. **The Problem:** As a paraglider pilot, when on long flights, I like to listen to my iPod but need to monitor all radio communications at the same time (sometimes audio-books which require stopping and backing up when radio interruptions come in). **The Solution:** Create an automatic switch that will detect if a signal is coming from the TxRx (2 way radio), or the Push To Talk (PTT) button that engages the microphone when pressed and do the appropriate actions following the basic logic of: if signal is detected from the TxRx or the PTT is pressed then pause iPod, switch headphone connection to the TxRx, rewind iPod 15 seconds and wait until signal is not detected for a 15 second period then switch headphones back to iPod, play iPod, and lastly fade volume up from zero back to the original volume it was playing at. **Detailed Deliverables:** 1. Design circuit schematic -Submit an original editable files. I currently use Eagle ver. 5.11.0 light edition, if you are providing schematic in a layout not compatible with this, please let me know prior to submitting so I can make sure I have comparable software on hand. <!-- --> 1. -Use microcontroller: ATmega328 (from Arduino project <[login to view URL]>> for more info) -design printed circuit board -Use 1 or 2 layers (prefer only one). ? ? ? -Through hole components only (no surface mount) -Use 28-Pin DIP Socket to seat your ATMega328 to allow easy removal for easy future re-programming. 2. Assemble unit -Production of one unit, including component sourcing, housing, printing pcb, and assembly. -All Jacks to be 3.5mm ? -All housing, knobs switches to be assembled ready to use. -Preferred power source battery: CR18650 but would settle for rechargable AA ? ? ? --link: <<a href="[login to view URL]">[login to view URL]> 3. Program microcontroller? -See attached flowchart for logic ? ? ? ? ? ? ? -Ship final unit to Australia. Address to be supplied to winning bidder. **F.A.Q.** These questions are updated regularly as a result of questions raised by workers, please double check here before posting a question Q: does this bid include postage and parts? A: No, you are bidding on labour only, parts and postage to be paid by employer. Q: Do you have a schematic from the first prototype you made? A: Yes, **Please redownload attached files** as I added more files to it -schematic from 1st prototype -Component Chart -Programing code used for IC chip from first prototype. Q: What was wrong with first prototype? A: I am just a hobbiest at electronics, and the signal detection circuit was only 40% effective.? The rest of the prototype worked great.? I planned to add ipod control to the programing once the signal detection was 100%.
