>>Coders from Eastern Europe / Russia / Ukraine are STRONGLY preferred<< Windows Explorer Shell Extension - Detailed description in attached PDF This should be a pretty simple project for a programmer who knows what they are doing When you open a rar or zip archive with winrar you can see the filename, size and CRC for all the files inside the archive. It stands to reason that this information is stored as meta data inside the rar/zip archive. UPDATE: This data seems to be stored in the file header. What needs to be developed is a windows explorer shell extension which extracts this data and puts it in a file which matches the format of QuickSFV and is compatible with QuickSFV ([login to view URL]) and WIN-SFV. In other words it should create an sfv file by extracting the CRCs and other data from the rar/zip archive, NOT by calculating the CRCs. **See attached zip file for project details** ** >>>>>Use of the .NET framework is NOT allowed in this project<<<<< ** ## Deliverables All variables/parameters/comments in source code will be in English ## Detailed list of deliverables is included in the attached documents. Your bid includes 100% testing and debugging ## Deliverables 1) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Hello, I looked into the project and here is what I can tell: * unrar library which you suggested in pdf only works with rar files, so for .zip files I'd use another library, like miniz for simplicity (libarchive seems to not have an easy way to get checksum) * I'm not sure how the app can hand the windows explorer. When I had to add a context menu last time, I simply added registry keys which add context menu for given file extension. The explorer starts the application, like any other app, and it does not block the explorer.exe. For large archives, I could simply show, 'please wait' dialog, so I do not see the problem here EDIT: sincei t seems important to you, the zip file library I'd use is in public domain EDIT: I was able to extract information from both zip and rar files. Please let me know if you are interested

Hi, please check my previous work, feedback and strongly consider my bid. From your detailed description in .pdf file I didn't clearly get about what GUI you're talking, since I thought that it would be something like "Extract archive checksumms.." ( or something like that ) explorer option that will produce a .sfv file in the current dir ( the only interaction is for encrypted archives ). Please correct me if I'm wrong Regards, Dmitry
