Data input/categorisation for Joomla 1.5 property portal

[login to view URL] is a France specific property portal that lists both private and agent/broker/immobilier properties. The website uses Joomla 1.5 and component EZRealty for property listing. Properties can be listed manually or by XML feed in the XML2U format. Properties from uploaded feeds need several actions to be carried out before publishing: Correct category assigned - category is ascertained from reading description. Correct Region/Department/Post Code assigned - 99% are OK. Properties without Region/Category/Post Code (approximately 40 per thousand) need classifying by finding city/town in description and ascertaining correct Region/Category/Post Code (region/department/post code list supplied). This action only occurs because of a glitch in the system that randomly assigns ‘Alsace’ as a region. Click ‘show address’ - this enables Google maps to show property location. At today’s date there are approximately 4000 properties that need publishing and this job is to carry out the above actions to enable publishing these properties.
