I'm an undergrad at MIT who enjoys working on power electronics projects and is interested in doing work on electric vehicle systems; this proposal is actually not all that different from a personal project I was working on some time ago and never quite got around to finishing. I'm decently skilled at passive PFC design and should be able to build a reasonably compact switching power supply on fairly short notice; I'd like to get it done within the next three or four days. I should be able to send you a circuit diagram for this fairly soon and would follow up with a routed PCB and BOM not long after.
