This is an advanced automotive project. So only those who have medium to advanced experience in automotive control unit working and understanding need apply. The project will involve creating an advanced microprocessor control unit that will work between the Engine control Unit and sensors. The information or signals will be modified by user to create different conditions to an internal combustion engine. Being an automotive tuner, I am able to help in the process of creating the unit but have less experience in electronic design and hardware. After the process being explained, the worker will work with the Freescale 5634M for the project. We would also would like to accomodate FPGA if its an added advantage for the system. Suggestions will be made on the construction of the hardware and software and options to be added to the project. Project will begin after the worker has estimated a price for the project along with the specifications of the project completed.

If you use FPGA then one can use embedded uC in F{GA which will increase processing power and reduce some glue logic but initial development cost may increase-best of luck in your seletion

HI, Some time ago I worked on automotive engine control in order to add a hydrogen cell (Brown gas) to the engine. We followed two ways, modify the sensors in order to give the car cpu different value and try to re-map the car cpu (at the end we followed the first way). I do not know in detail what modifications you want to add, but for sure I am able to do this. no problem with freescale, and I agree to think to a fpga (I would suggest Altera Cyclon family).
