Custom PCB design for GPS tracker

Hi there! This is a fairly simple project and you shouldn't be expected to pay the rates some people are asking. As for myself, I hope it hasn't been too late for me to bid on this project. I have done several similar projects in the past and it will only take me a day at max to get this project done. You can have a look at my reviews and feedback for the same. Regarding my bid, I will provide to you the following things for the bid amount: * Components selection * Schematic design * PCB Layout * Generation of GERBER files for manufacture * Bill of Materials generation. * Selection of a decent PCB fab house * Any future small edits at a rate of $15 USD I have the following in mind for your project as of now... * MT3339 GPS module * MAX1555 Batt charger + micro USB port * MPU9150 Accelerometer + gyroscope, Or any other simpler one if you just want to know when you're moving and when still. * Li-ion Battery * Atmega328 microcontroller, or if you'd like BLE then RFD22301 (a.k.a. rfduino) If you could tell me your budget on the parts, I would be able to advise better components. Hi, I'm very experienced hardware design engineer. I have already designed almost identical device for other customer. Device was equipped with: - GSM module (GE866-QUAD) - GPS module module, - stm32 processor - microsd card - sensors, - miniUSB connector, - LEDS, All in size of 110mmx23mm. I did some estimations and similar (or updated/changed) functionality can be realized in requested size of 75x35x35mm. Please let me know if you are interested in cooperation. Hello So In order that your device to work good you got to have a: - minimum 4 layer board 6 is preferred - preferably controlled impedance for the antenna line of the GPS and the GSM line and any other fast or sensible line like a memory. - a shield over the MicroController - also you may need a memory to make a fast processes of the GPS and GSM data. - the board should be design with lower EMC emitions between components As a plus I also designs GPS and GSM systems and used DDR2 memorys before This is my CV I have 8 years of product design in the automotive industry. I am an expert in: - Dc - Dc converters - USB charging - accelerometers, gyroscopes - GPS and GSM - LCD Displays - DDR2 RAM memory's - LED power calculation As a Layouter I have 5 Years experience. I am an expert in : - Power Dissipation Calculation - EMC Rules - Impedance Calculation - Manufacturing Rules I have made Layout for ARM processor. Work also with BGA footprint. I have done projects even on 10 layer. So I know how to build a layer stack up. As Layout and Schematic software I am an expert in Eagle, PADs, Zuken. hello, i am electronics designer creates any prototype you need, i built the same device using UPA500A farnell, the controller was pic 16f877a, the prototyping device dimension 10cm 5 cm 5 cm the PCB desgin must be smaller than the prototyping board, we can change the micro controller with one have small dimension, the UPA 500 A is for outdoor purpose, so if you need one which is work indoor and outdoor, its well be costly and the length of antenna will be longer, good luck :)

G'day, I'm an Aussie Schematic and PCB Designer with 25+ years in manufacturing design... I use Altium and can also add in the 3D modeling for the casing if required as well . I also have NDA Datsheet access to Broadcom GPS chipsets, as well as a few others... I f you simply want that existing design modifed so it can all be placed in a small compact custom CPB, sure, that can be easily done. The instructables page you sent seems quite clear... As you suggested, the project details are quite open, therefore my bid is just a placeholder so we can chat about your gps tracker based project and see where it can lead. Is this a project you want to mass produce, So is it the designed to a budget criterea, or is this a specialised low volume design, where quality is chosen over price, eg industrial asset tracking, or consumer price focused etc? I generally work on an hourly basis, hence what appears to be a low project cost, be aware that is my professional hourly rate, but I am open to negotiaion for a project like this. So please see my feedback from my past clients so you can rest assured, how effecient I am on this type of work. I have extensive skills in Schematic capture and PCB design. I have spent the last two years as as the sole electronic engineer in a company, giving me an excellent insight into the full production lifecycle of a project. This means I can implement functionality into the design which will save both time and money later in the manufacturing process (For example I have a good knowledge of specifying alternative cheaper parts and working to constraints allowing much cheaper manufacture of PCBs) Unlike many of the other freelancers bidding on this project I am an english national living in the UK, this means I have a full command of written and spoken english and I am able to communicate during normal dayime/evening hours in the UK. I have extensive experience with the rduino platform, but for a project such as this I would advise using regular embedded C code in Atmel studip as opposed to the arduino environment as its focus on ease of use can be very restrictive in projects such as this. ALso the GPRS and GPS modules given on the instructables project are again great for ease of use in a hobby environment, but more powerful and more importantly cheaper modules could be specced if you wish.
