Color compare for images of a process

The target of the project is 1. Real time image matching (80 to 90% of the reference image) for a continuous process using USB movie camera and a windows based computer 2. Reference images for image matching may vary for each step up to 30 nos. 3. There may be 10 to 30 no of steps. 4. For each steps sample image matching process should be repeated 5 to 10 times. 5. Duration for each step may be 1 to 2 min or in some cases it may be more. But not necessarily same for all steps. 6. The total process may be of 5 to 50 minutes duration. 7. Once the match found for each step a system generated signal will command to start or end an another different process to the computer. 8. The color of interest of the reference pictures will never be monochrome as it has been shown in the uploaded picture.
