Company Analysis In this project you will analyze a company. You will determine if you should invest your money in this company. In making your decision you will need to determine if the company is reliable and financiallystable. You will analyze their stock information and the news about the company. You will need to read information about the company to see what is discussed about them in the news. There could be information, which could change your mind about purchasing the company. You will complete a report and present it on PowerPoint. The report will have five (5) sections. Section 1 - Company information – This section gives important information about the company. An example of important information is: the name, when it was started, where it is located, who owns the company, is the company international or regional, any major information in the news. Section 2 - Graphical representation- This section should include graphs representing the closing price of the stock over various time periods. There should be a minimum of 4 graphs; the last two weeks, the last year, the last 5 years, and the last 10 years. You should explain how the graphs support your decision to purchase or not to purchase. Section 3 - Statistical information – This section should include the mean price, the median price, the range of the prices, the standard deviation, how it is skewed, etc. Section 4 - The summary – This section summarizes your overall findings and analysis of the company. Section 5 - Reference section – This section needs to give details of where you obtained all of your information. Please use APA format. The project will be presented in class. All graphs, projected profits/loss tables, statistical summaries,and should be cut and pasted into the PowerPoint.
