As far as I understand you want to separate out the two sites and make them stand-alone installations of WordPress. This mainly requires some manual tweaking of the Database(not on the live site of course), possibly a couple of search-&-replaces, and some files being moved around. I've usually done the opposite(make a single site part of a multisite), but taking them apart won't be that much of a struggle either.

I'm an experienced WP developer and PHP programmer. I've converted websites from Multi-site to standard install before. Some creative database editing takes care of that. Fiddly but doable. Usually I'd load the database, on a local staging server, make sure the migration is clean, then load the database on the live site. Regards, John
