Project Description

As part of an web app we are making we need to capture video and audio using html5 in the browser.

1. When recording starts, the user must be able to see their video so they can check their face is in the frame.

2. Video and audio must be recorded simultaneously and saved to a server

3. The users must be able to play back the recording to check that their audio is of sufficient quality.

Functionality like on this page is required:

The problem with the link above is that it does not work on all setups that allow html5. It should work on chrome, firefox, edge browser on windows and chrome/firefox for mac as they allow html5 video/audio capture.

In our office, the above link did not work on one chrome/mac setup.

Another library that didn't work in all situations was this:

For this project a library or code must be provided that works in all these situations. (Yes we know that html5 audio/video capture can never work with IE and dont require it.)

Deliverables: Code that works robustly with these required functionality on all the above setups.
