The product is intended to be used mainly in games, where audio is crucial. Thus, the engine must meet the following requirements:
1. Cross-platform
The engine should run under Windows and Mac Os. Linux support is not required, but is appreciated.
2. The engine should be compilable to a shared library (i.e. dynamic link library under Windows, dylib under Mac, etc), on both x86 and 64 CPU architectures.
3. Third party components can be used, but only those which allow commercial redistribution.
4. Binaural
The engine should be able to spatialise audio around the listener, even when a stereo speaker configuration is used, e.g. via HRTF.
5. Room virtualisation
The engine should support various room models, e.g. via impulses, that provide appropriate reverb/filters, etc.
