I need a script to manipulate text from my command line. I am on a Mac so the script has to be in bash.
usage: [login to view URL] contentfile masterfile column
your script will open the contentfile (in my example: [login to view URL]) strip it from LF and CR and will then insert (overwrite if anything should be there) the content of the columns in line 1 to the masterfile, as lines in the specified column.
Yes, I know…I am not that good at explaining ;-) So here is an example…
Input in terminal: [login to view URL] [login to view URL] [login to view URL] 1
Explaination: script, inputfile, outputfile, column to write in
Should produce a file like [login to view URL]
File delimiter is and should always be ";" and encoding is UTF8.
If you understood what i mean…you´re good!! :-)
If not, feel free to ask…
Thank you for your efforts!
I'm a linux developer. I could program it with linux. But I don't have Mac to test it. But since Mac and Linux is based on same base, it should be worked on mac os too.
