I need initramfs script with grub menu entry to run linux (xubuntu or other) form loopdevice located in file on ntfs partition (rw access).

What I have:
(1) Installation disc on USB stick
(2) Installed version on USB stick
(3) Copy (do from runing (1) ) of root-dir (2) in file - ntfs part (loop device, formated ext2)

Major task is create usb stick (later DVD), which load kernel and initramfs, next mount root directory from file in read/write mode.

I have description: http://www.opopop.net/booting_linux_from_a_loop_file_system/
But it don't work with new scripts in initramfs.
Boot commands:
loop= - read only mode
rw - dont work
loopflags=rw - dont work

Any other linux machine available (physically, not on network )? Your usb stick may not be correctly written to. Even to check for errors, you will need access to some linux (or unix) host where usb stick can be mo More
