Looking for someone with skill and knowledge of using AppleScript to create a script that extracts specific text information from incoming e-mails and appends it to a text-based file. We have limited knowledge of AppleScript so we're not sure how possible this is, but we'd also like to extend the script if possible to extract additional information from a Web page contained in a link in the e-mails. Additional details available upon request.

I've got suitable AppleScript exeperience and all of this can be done as a Mail "rule". I would user "curl" to fetch webpages. However, an easier script might be written in Ruby to connect directly to your POP3/IMAP server do the parsing and connect to the web as well. Ruby code can be run on Mac OS X out of the box.
