Continue and complete an Android app that is used to estimate work, store photos of work needing to be done, and track status and data on several different items at once. We already have API and database work within our own databases, but we need an app to access these and display data, as well as feed data to our servers. The screens have been designed, and there is already a beta app that has been developed, but it does not have all functionality written in yet, and is far from complete. The attached file is the original instruction for this app. We will need to talk to the developer via phone daily to get this app done. Strong English, and a good understanding of databases, android, and basic automotive knowledge is required. Our current developer could code adequately, but since they did not understand the purpose of the app, the progress has been slow and difficult. We need someone who understands what the purpose of the app is. I will consider work by the hour, or a fixed price. Time is critical, we are behind deadline, so we need someone to dedicate time and resources to this project.

Hi there: For my understanding, you have an android app and a database in server side. If you want to your android app interact with your database, you need to provide web service (APIs). Otherwise, there will be disaster for an android app to handle remote databases. Or you can have the local database on the phone and timely to sync up with your remote database, but for this solution, the web service is required as well. I would like to take this job based on the above solutions, and my base is in US. We can sync up daily with phone or IM etc. I prefer the hourly by work. Do you need native android app or phonegap app? from your attached document, it seems a web app rather then a mobile app. project full details are needed as well as what is current and what are to be done.
