Android application(repost)

We first need an Android application for our social network Modernfamilies. We already have a prototype but it is not very efficient. It can be re-used or redeveloped. The application works against our XML web service that provides functions such as login, getprofiles, getmessages, getnews, createmessage, addpicture, .... we could improve the web service when required. The application works online and offline (using cached data) so a local database is required. It needs to work with Android 1.6-2.2 and higher when released. We have UI designs for most pages and create some; if you are good in UI design or at least in knowing how applications should look in order to appear good you can improve our design. You need to test the application (unit test, at least 2 different devices, also long-term) although we will test as well. The app will run on phones and tablets alike; various settings allow to tune for this or the other. We expect you to have real experience with Android and ideally iPhone/iPad as well. You also need experience in handling cameras, making and compressing pictures, making and compressing audio files. Please state your exact experience, your availability in the next 4 weeks, your language level, your working times (overlapping with central european time), samples of your work. We will give preference to developers who can also develop iPhone apps since we need such a version right afterwards. Tell me please what problems may occur when using earlier versions, and what do you think about this? 2. Do you have experience developing applications running on the Android mobile phones and Android tablets, which issues have you encountered? 3. How will you handle layout &#8203;&#8203;components at different screen resolutions on different devices? 4. One of the important aspects is the offline mode. How are you going to implement it? What will you use to store data on the device? How will you synchronize data with the server when the device appeared online?
