Our Flag Football League would like to begin a more effective & successful "roster enforcement" policy, so we decided we wanted to do this through an iPhone Application. We want each of our teams to have the capability of taking team pictures before each game, uploading them into the league iPhone App that is created just for the purpose of face recognition for each player and enforcing the roster enforcement rule based on how many times the player appeared at a game. Our roster enforcement rule is that if someone appears for 4 games, injured or active, they are allowed to participate in the playoffs. There are 8 games in 1 season, and this has been an issue in the past, as teams have brought down really good players that we did not believe made 4 games during the regular season. This frustrated us because we knew there was no real way to enforce this rule every week, without a structured app or face recognition tool that helped identify if each player made 4 games or not.
The pages of the app will include:
Each page and content for each of them.
- Home page -- The name of our league, captain log-in, & buttons to navigate to the other pages.
- Roster page – list of player on the captain's roster, after they log in – each player’s name listed. When you click on the name, it should enlarge to the player's page and face image. This should also include a tally of how many times the player has showed up for games during the season so far.
After that, we don't really have a full pre-defined outline of the entire app, but we want to see if this would even be possible and we want this process for the player to be as easy as possible every week, as it should just require the captain to take a team pic of the team and upload it into the app somehow. After uploading the pic, the app's API & face recognition, should be able to do the rest of the work.
