What I am looking for is a specialized Android camera app. The app should function like this:
The app should be able to scan a barcode and then take several pictures. The filenames of the taken pictures should begin with the scanned barcode.
The user can scan a barcode. The app should then confirm the barcode has been scanned correctly. The user should then be able to take pictures using the camera. The filenames of the pictures should use the barcode text as the prefix for the filename, followed by a counter. For example:
Bob opens the app, and scans a Code128 barcode label with the text 888777. The app confirms it has read 888777. Bob confirms the barcode has been read correctly. Now Bob can begin taking pictures. Bob takes 4 pictures, and they are saved to disk as follows: [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], [url removed, login to view], and 888777_4.jpg.
Bob moves on to the next barcode. He presses a button in the app which puts it back into barcode mode. He uses the app to scan the next barcode, after which the above process is repeated.
1) App must be able to read common barcode formats correctly and quickly. Must be able to read standard UPC, Code-128, and USPS and UPS tracking codes.
2) Pictures are being used to document the physical condition of retail products. The ability to focus the camera and take clear pictures is a requirement.
3) UI should be as basic and simple as possible. The focus is ease-of-use and speed. This is for an industrial application.
We require that this application be delivered in fully functional form along with source code. If we like your work we may have additional projects for you.
