This works needs to be web based, using Visual Basic script in ASP, with SQL Server as my [login to view URL] are two users to this system, staff and students. Staff are able to add modify and delete whereas students are only able to view. Before anyone gets to the assignment schedule table, a course id is passed in a query string. This is to allow the table to know which course it applies to. The table shall then hold the following information: A table shall hold all information in the following columns: 1. Date Set 2. Coursework Type 3. Comments 4. Date & Time of Submission 5. Deliverables 6. Lecturer's Hyperlink 7. Person Staff are allowed to add assignments to this table, modify or even delete [login to view URL] staff add an assignment they go to a new page which has two big text boxes, one for introduction and the other for marking scheme. Below the marking scheme text box there shall be learning outcomes which shall list all the learning outcomes for this course. These are selectable form the outcomestring database table by using the following select * from outcomestring where crid is = 4. (The course id which is crid is going to be passed through the query string before they even get to this page). With the various learning outcomes shown the staff member is then able to select which ones apply to this assignment by clicking the relevant tick box. They will then click the launch button and this assignment information is then inserted into the database. The staff member is then taken back to the main table but this time it is refreshed with a new line being inserted. The word "assignment" in the table should be hyperlinked as so when someone clicks on it they are taken to the page with all the relevant information (introduction, marking scheme and learning outcomes). A student then looking at these table should only see the table with any courework type assignments being hyperlinked to the information inserted by the staff member. So if a student clicked on the assignment link he/she will only get to see the information as introduction, marking scheme and learning outcomes that apply to this assignment. They will not beable to add edit or delete any information.
