Allow users to populate site's database via tab delimited or spreadsheet. - repost

Our site sells licenses for audio assets -- music and sound effects. Those music and sound effects are tagged with keywords and phrases and prices, and various other attributes. This is currently achieved by calling up an asset, filling out a form and then using a tagging tool we've built. We need a way to add attributes and tags for large numbers of audio assets, perhaps hundreds at a time. We want to be able to tag via spreadsheet. The assets could be accompanied by a spreadsheet that has a list of all the audio asset titles with keywords, descriptions, genre, mood, instrumentation, price, tempo, etc... all the things in our database per asset. We would need to dictate the structure of the spreadsheet. So at a minimum we simply provide a blank template. But it would be nice if the system allowed content providers to export their own spreadsheet, containing their audio assets with the corresponding tags. That way they could manually tag one asset, export the resulting spreadsheet and therefore see how it should be filled in.
