I am looking for a coder to develop a client application that is able to create the necessary .conf and other associated configuration files to configure the Asterisk PBX platform. The client application will need to be able to run on Windows 2000/XP/Vista and also Linux. The configuration of the Asterisk PBX will follow a 'standard' format, in that the hardware will remain the same and the various setup options will basically alter how the IVR, calls are routed (both inbound and outbound) and other basic functionaility within Asterisk. I have already started work on how the general 'work flow' of the application will work and need this to be translated into a GUI and logically implementation within an application that can create the configuration files. As the hardware setup will not change, I need to be able to retrieve configuration files that have been created by this application, such that configuration files can be edited, without having to start from scratch. I currently see six 'phases' to this project. 1. Define an initial structure to the GUI. This may take several iterations. 2. Establish a structure for 'translating' the configuration as defined in the GUI, to the appropraite Asterisk configuration files. 3. Implement an application utilising the defined GUI, with the ability to export and import the necessary configuration files. 4. Review/Revise the GUI to address any areas not covered by the initial structure of the GUI. This may be a process that occurs throughout the implementation, however it should be reviewed again towards the end of the project. Additionally the look and feel may need to be enhanced. 5. Implement a secure method of transfering the configuration files from the client to the Asterisk server. If necessary the application will need to be able to reload Asterisk to ensure that the new configuration is applied. 6. Testing of all functionaility. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform The client must be able to run on Windows 2000/XP/Vista and Linux. The Asterisk server will be runing on the uClinux platform. It will be necessary to create a secure connection to the server either using standard transfer mechanisms, e.g. HTTPS, FTP or a propriatory transfer mechanism. In either instance it will be necessary to ensure that the mechanism is able to work using the uClinux platform on a blackfin processor. It will also be necessary to ensure that Asterisk is able to 'reload' or whatever appropriate actions are necessary to implement the changes once the configuration files have been upload.
