I want an update made to this page: [login to view URL] First, a little info about it: what it does (if you're signed in to the site) is select your recent favorable ratings from a MySQL database and finds other movies that you would enjoy based on your ratings. This part is complete and you wouldn't need to mess with it - all of the actual rating / recommendation functionality is in place and works great. What I do need is to have the data on this page refreshed without reloading the page. As an example, let's say that the system determines that "Crank" is one of your top recommendations. You see this and think "Hey, I've already seen Crank", so you rate it using the star rating system found on this page (this feature is also complete). At this point, the data would refresh as such: 1) Your rating for "Crank" would now be factored into the recommendations. 2) Crank would be removed from the recommendations (since you rated it, you're telling the system that you've seen it, and hence, it's no longer a valid recommendation). 3) The list of recommendations would be reloaded. Optimally, the best way to do this from a user perspective would be to as such: 1) You rate a movie. 2) The list of movies on the left and right is replaced with a "reloading" message or something while the rating is inserted into the db and the script selects the new data. 3) The new data is displayed. The source code will be provided to you, of course, and I can also send you enough files (ie, templates, language files, database scheme, etc.) to create a working local version of the site if you request it. The only thing I need from you is a nice AJAX implementation to make the data refresh without refreshing the entire page: all of the recommendations math and the rating system is already in place, you just need to fancy it up a bit ;)
