I would like a basic custom blog script. I am tired of using paid and free services and would rather have something more simple, and which has the features I really want. I’d like a script which will allow me to publish blog posts. It would be similar to the simplisity of [login to view URL], with a title, and body for the post. The body should allow HTML so I can easily add images or links to files, ETC. The display of the blog should include a set number of entries, a search box for looking up posts by key-word, and a link to an archive containing a list of the blog posts according to their published dates. The coder doesn’t need to worry about a fancy design; I want the script to allow me to customize the display myself via a template PHP page. I want the admin panel to have a link to the previously published posts, which will allow me to edit or delete them. I do not want comments or categories. I believe the search and the archive will be enough. I will simply add a link to an email form so I can receive comments. I don’t know how the posts should be handled. Perhaps the posts can be saved as text files but I don’t know. This would be up to the coder to decide. I have a Linux server with access to MySQL. We can discuss more specifics later. I am on a budget, so any considerations would be appreciated.
