I have 2 Excel files that are both Summaries of an online survey. For some reason, we got 2 sets of data - one file for those who took the survey before 10/14/09 and one for those after. The data from these 2 files need to be combined into one Summary
There were also some duplicate entries, so you then have to go through the raw results (also an excel file) and change the data.
## Deliverables
Start by taking a look at the SurveySummary_10142009 file. This is basically how the final product should look. Except there is some stuff that needs to be done to make the data right.
a. There are 2 Summaries 1014 and 1027. Both are attached. They need to be combined. (I’m not sure why we didn’t get a single data set, but we didn’t.)
b. Some of the questions required “open-ended?? answers. (See Q4 for example). The responses are in the second tab in the spreadsheet. These need to be copied (or something) into the main summary as a list to show what the range of responses actually were. Of course, there are 2 lists (1014 and 1027) that need to be combined. Also, please IGNORE any response in yellow.
c. Please take a look at the Files 10-14 dupe detail and 10-27 dupe detail (in 2 parts). This is the ugly raw data. The responses in yellow are duplicates. These responses need to be REMOVED from the summary results Maybe you know how to do this automatically (I hope so), but basically the only way I saw to do it was is to change the numbers in the summary (eg. for Q3 lower the number of “yes?? by 3 (or whatever) and the number of “no?? by 2 (or whatever) based on the number of responses in yellow that must be removed. I’m sure there is a better way to do this or some tricks to make it quicker ??" but you are the Excel expert.
I'm sure you'll have lots of questions. Please ask them.
