Whilst I can do basic php and MySQL queries, sometimes we need help from someone smarter than I. This is one of those times. Part 1. Our table `sydney` has many fields, two of which are `ID#` and `Customer PO #`. ID# Customer PO # X0303383 WEB3589 X0303383 WEB3589 X0303956 WEB3386 X0303957 WEB3411 X0305944 WEB3708 etc. I need a query that updates the `Customer PO #` field such that if the same PO has multiple ID#s, the POs are updated to include a alphabetic suffix. eg, Customer PO # ID# WEB3589 X0303383 WEB3589 X0303383 WEB3589 X0303383 WEB3589 X0303383 WEB3589 X0303383 WEB3589 X0303383 WEB3589 X0303383 WEB3589 X0303383 WEB3589 X0303383 WEB3589 X0303383 WEB3589 X0303383 WEB3589 X0303383 WEB3589 X0303383 WEB3589 X0303678 WEB3589 X0303678 for ID# X0303383, Customer PO would be updated to WEB3589a, and for ID# X0303678, Customer PO would be updated to WEB3589b. If WEB3589a or WEB3589b already exist in the table, the query uses WEB3589c, etc etc. Part 1 involves making the Query, and the PHP code to execute the query. Part 2. Here's a sample of another query: --- CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE tbltemp SELECT categories_id from categories_description WHERE categories_name = 'Cases & PSUs'; CREATE TEMPORARY TABLE tbltemp2 SELECT products_id, products_name from products_description WHERE products_name LIKE '**Antec**%'; --- This query works in phpmyadmin, but when put into PHP it screws up, I think because of the WHERE products_name LIKE '**Antec**%'; line. Part 2 involves updating this query to work in PHP.
