Add newegg-like navigation to my ecommerce site

I have TWO storefronts, [url removed, login to view] AND [url removed, login to view]

I'm interested in improving the functionality of both of these websites. I want to emulate newegg.com. Any and all features which [url removed, login to view] has I would like to be implemented into my websites.

* improved navigation (use newegg's navigation instead of current navigation)

* improve general appearance of websites

* place shopping cart on all pages, not just shopping pages

* get search function to work on all pages, not just shopping pages

* Anything else that would improve functionality of website to match newegg's

If possible, I'd also like to hear your ideas to Improve back end to accommodate my catalog update team better. Any other suggestions are more than welcome and I'll pay you appropriately!!
