For a new project, I would like a website that shows the 20 cheapest last minute offers from 5 different Travel Agencies. So it involves daily scraping of these 5 websites.
- It need to be available in two languages (Dutch and French)
- The website should be responsive
- For each page on my website, I want to be able to select a custom background
- Background should be like this: [login to view URL] -> background always remains at same position, but if you scroll, only the site content scrolls, not the background
- Website should work in all common browsers, also on mobile
I will specify all URLs that needs to be scraped. You have to scrape these URLs (collect price, hotel title, location, number of nights and destination URL). The destination URL needs to be transformed into my affiliate URL, before it gets published on the website. This is easy to do, see video for example.
On the website itself, the 20 cheapest last minute offers should be shown, for all locations (on homepage, see attachment for example) or for a specific location (eg. Turkey, see attachment for example). You should be able to filter based on 2 criteria: 'number of nights' and 'only all inclusive'
This website application needs to scrape 5 different websites (over 100 pages) daily. Off course, sometimes scraping will be broken, ex. when a website changes design. Please provide me with a solution on how you will deal with this (maintenance contract, support upon delivery, ...)
I showed in my mockup how the design should look like. It is not yet final, so you have to use this to create the final design yourself. So to summ up: the structure of the site must remain the same, only change the design of it so it looks more professional.

I suggest to work with milestones. First milestone to be released after delivering final design, second milestone after it works on your test environment and third milestone after it goes live on my domain. Let me know if you have other suggestion.

I am a web developer with a lot of experience with scraping websites. The last project I've finished is somewhat similar to this one: it is a currency exchange conversion website, available in several languages (so far, only English and Spanish). The exchange rates are extracted hourly (for the most important ones) and daily at midnight (for all of them), from several websites, like Yahoo! Finance, Bloomberg, and so on.
No problem for the fixed background, that's quite easy to implement. I could do a responsive design as well. By "all browsers", do you mean IE7 too? It's often very hard to make a modern design work in such an old browser.
As for what to do if the design of the scraped websites change, we could discuss that later.
NB: I set up a 20% milestone because Freelancer doesn't allow me to lower that - not that I'm requesting you for any upfront payment.
