Create Joomla 1.5 and 2.5 Module

I would like to have a new module designed for Joomla 1.5 and 2.5
The module would be the same as the standard Joomla module: "mod_latestnews", however it will only ever display one article/link
However, within the front end display of the module, to the right of the module text (title of the latest article), there would be a small image displayed which is the SECOND image within article the title links to.
I will need both Joomla 1.5 and Joomla 2.5 versions of this module.
I would also like for this module to install like any standard module.
I would like the backend options for the module duplicate that of the "mod_latestnews", with the following exception,
"Count" will be staticly set at 1.
Also please add "size" which is the size of the image. This can be the height of the image. It is important to keep the image proptions.
