To configure a jabber server that will enable it to read the WAN / Incomming IP address of the user and place it in a user group. The client should be in a light programming language pref PHP or an Applet. I will need the client to pop up from a click on a link and it will get user credentials from a cookie. Therefor there will be no prompts for user credentials and the roster will be loaded automatically. How it works : Example : We have an adsl connection in our office that is shared by 10 staff on the network. I would like each staff to be able to see each other without the need to add them to thier roster. The Jabber server therefore will be located outside the office at a data center . Since all the 10 staff will be using the same WAN IP Address. I would like the server to use this to segment the user group, the staff does not have to add anything/configure anything on thier client. Once the window pops up it will have the roster (list) of staff that are currently logged on, they can then message each other instantly. GUI Requirements : The client based side should have a light but professional GUI and also enable the viewing /setting of profiles with pictures.
