Basically, I want an ADesklet that will embed an mplayer window in the screen to play live video feeds. More details can be found here <[login to view URL]> ADesklets allows one to create tiny embedded desktop applications (similar to Yahoo Widgets or Konfabulator). What I want is a desktop 'widget' that is a simple embedded video display - such as mplayer - to display a live video feed. There need not be any controls, except a pause button, on the video since it will only be parsing a live feed. The thread posted describes the basic premise and the code that may be used to make something quickly.
