Client Database Management - repost

The main objective of this project is to develop a Client Database for our firm. Our business is recruitment of Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW or maids). With the information from this Client Database, the Secondary objective is to automate some of the documentation processes and reports that is required for the employment of a FDW (Foreign Domestic Helpers). There are many documents to be prepared and with the information of the employer and FDW known, the system should be able to insert common information such as the Name of Employer, Name of FDW, Address, etc to the forms and the forms can then be printed out minimizing the time spent on manual filling up these common information to the forms. Our website is developed in a Joomla environment with MySQL at the backend. It is hosted in Unix server. To avoid slowing the down the website, we hope to develop the Client DB outside of Joomla but still able to communicate with the backend MySQL without major issue.
