I have a Coppermine Photo Gallery on a Debian VPS server using php and MySql. There are issues with the gallery connecting to the database properly. The gallery has a lot of data that cannot be dumped or corrupted. This setup has been moved from the original hosting server to another server and now to this current server. During that process something has been broken.
1. Correct configuration issues to allow the database to connect properly.
2. Update the Coppermine gallery to the most current version of the software.
REQUIRED: Please... DO NOT bid unless you have extensive experience with Coppermine Photo Gallery.
I've dealt with coppermine in several different production environments, breakfix has always been my primary function. I've worked in production Debian clusters with 100+ servers running news related sites, 10 years hands on experience.

I'll be honest and say that I have not used coopermine that much but I do have it installed in my test server. However what you describe is not likely to be a database connection problem.... more likely you did not backup your old website correctly. is the other site still up?
To explain a bit more. the database either connects or it does not! Everything else is usually data problem.
