Crowdsourcing desktop application task expert needed!

Crowdsourcing is an important area in enabling the visualisation of large amounts of data in a way that users understand. Your task is to investigate how a crowdsourcing desktop application could be used to track the path of your chosen disease(s) in your country applying all considerations as discussed throughout the User Interface Design lectures and tutorials. You need to create a low level prototype which will provide a vehicle to conceptualise and envision the proposed software with the aim of providing proof of concept. Your report needs to be presented in a logical structure and provide evidence that you have undertaken: • a critical evaluation of the current issues in user interface design for desktop devices eg horizontal scrolling and mimicking swiping, and the incorporation of relevant areas into the development of your low level prototype; (15%) • a review of any legal, social or ethical issues that may be involved in the development of this software; (10%) • critical selection and application of the concepts of colour theory, font terminology, layout and the graphic design elements of the visual interface design; (15%) • consideration and identification of any issues eg guidelines that would apply if the software is to run across platforms eg Apple, Microsoft. (10%) • justification and usage of relevant evaluation techniques (10%) • a conclusion drawing together the key facts that would provide evidence of ‘proof of concept’ to relevant parties. (10%) Your Low-fidelity prototype with clear linkage to the points used in the report needs to provide evidence of effective User Interface Design. (30%)
