Hi, I’m software developer with more than 30 years experience in Delphi (since the times of Borland Turbo Pascal!). In the past 20 years I have worked (in-situ) for two international organizations (Inter-American Tropical Tuna Commission, in San Diego, USA, and the Food and Agriculture Organizations of the United Nations, in Victoria, Seychelles). I also have experience in several other programming languages (Fortran/Fortran 90, C/C#/C++, VB/VB.NET, SAS, Java, S/S-PLUS/R), however, the bulk of my work has been done in Delphi. In addition to my extensive experience in Delphi, I also have more than 15 years experience designing/developing and porting MS-SQL Server databases. In my last position with FAO/UN I designed and developed a project for the management and analysis of fisheries data (FINSS – Fisheries Information Analysis and Statistical System). At present, this software is the main tool used by many of the governments in Africa, and SE Asia, to handle their fisheries. This 4-year project was originally developed in Delphi 7 and MS-SQL Server, and later converted to Delphi XE 5, so I have experience doing this kind of ports. . Feel free to contact me if you would like a copy of my CV (to verify referencea and qualifications), or examples of my previous works. I think it’s worth mentioning I’m totally bilingual (Spanish/English), and that I’m retired, so I have enough free time to dedicate to your project.
Kind regards,
Marco García
