DirectX Model Editor

I require a DirectX model viewer to perform two functions: 1) Create and save new textured 'height field' curve surfaces. 2) Open, pose, snapshot, and save DirectX .X models. We are looking for something similar to earlier prototypes of this application we created: <[login to view URL]> <[login to view URL]> The model viewer will be used with an existing application that outputs simple DirectX file shapes. We would like the program written as a C# Winform user control. If you can create the program more effectively using one of the graphics SDKs listed below, or Visual C++, that works for us. The program should perform the following actions: 1) Create an empty initial scene with two lights. 2) Create rectangular bezier patch with normals and triangles in a strip. Vertex count for patch should be variable. 3) During initialization, load BMP or JPG texture to use as the color map. 4) During initialization, load grayscale texture as a height field for a patch. Displace z coordinate of vertex by a sampled grayscale pixel brightness value. 5) Allow user to add multiple existing .X files to the scene. 7) Allow user to rotate and reposition meshes using keyboard and mouse (pick and place). 8) Allow user to save scene as a DirectX .X file, or save all .X files with modified positions and rotation. 9) Allow user to use the mouse and keyboard to move camera around in the scene. 10) Allow user to save an image snapshot of the camera view. Please respond with a link or screenshot of comparable work you have done. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform The program needs to work on a machine with Windows XP and 2003 with DirectX version 9 and .NET Framework 1.1. installed. If you use a SDK from below or C++, the program needs to be command line driven so multiple .X files could be opened with the program.
