Course directory platform

The objective is to build a platform or adapt existing ones to allow users to register themselves, publish and edit different type of courses or events. Also, design a UI to be very simple and clean, with some scripts to display info about the events in a month view, and to select tags from events to show the selected ones (just like Google Calendar but with a custom template) combined with information display just like in some business directories, a script shows the info below the calendar like a business card or file. The calendar shows the events that math the tag selected on the left (tags submitted by users when they add a new event). The calendar as main component has a link below it to quick add events (no registering needed). Include a search engine, to locate cities, schools, instructors or names of events or courses. The publishers must be grouped in some "institution" field for another user with manager privileges for that single institution, edit or remove the events the users publish. Event view needs RSVP capabilities and Facebook integration. Also, if possible, integrate the facebook events in a particular facebook page, with the calendar in the site. Another feature is a location selector, the visitor selects his/her location (city or state) and the whole site shows relevant information (previously tagged) for that particular location. Modules: -Small calendar for homepage -Location selector Site functionallity: cms for the homepage with different sections and contact forms. If it is possible I prefer a whole component ready to install on joomla 1.5 or 1.6, with modules and plugins, with spanish translation. The only limitation on joomla I find is the nested users under a single manager for each institution or association. Best regards, Mario M.
