Program with a nice graphical interface to stimulate people faced with boring, repetitive tasks by displaying puzzles and problems to be solved. Purpose: To display puzzles and problems stored in a database to be solved within a specified time. Product will have two parts - one to display the puzzles/problems. One to add them to the database. Both will have Very Graphical Interface, with buttons and images for interface loaded from EXE resource (jpegs preferred). Use Green Colors. NO caption bar or controls at the top. Small status bar/panel at the bottom - place minimize/maximize/exit functions in the window/form. Graphic background, graphic buttons with 'mouse over' effects. ALL buttons and controls in a panel (a button bar) aligned to the RIGHT - 32 pixel wide and high icon style buttons. When multiple options are necessary, button will pop a menu. Puzzle Player: Use a button to pop a menu to select a puzzle or problem to display from the database, based on type (math, puzzle, logic challenge) and level of difficulty. A page within the window will display the problem/puzzle stored in the database, which will include a description and may include a picture/photo/graphic to accompany it. Page will also display a countdown counter that counts down as problem is being solved. The initial timer setting is also taken from the database. When the user thinks they have solved the problem/puzzle, they click a button to stop timer. Player then displays the correct answer, also stored in the database. IF the answer is correct. Player calculates a score based on multiplying level of difficulty by elapsed seconds. Puzzle Creator: A page within the program window will be used to store the information on this puzzle/problem in the database, including a picture (select via a treeview of PC files), description, set level of difficulty, name, type of puzzle/problem, expected solution time (in seconds). Do NOT Include System Drop-Down menus. Do NOT include a Confirm on exit message. Special Features Program to have an option to load into system tray icon. Another button click executes the system default web browser and displays a location on the web with links to learning, education, etc. MORE DETAILED Specs are in the attachede ZIP file. I do not expect this to be a $100 product just because I set that as the lower limit. BE SURE to study my replies to varies questions posed by other programmers. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows? (depending on the nature? of the deliverables): a)? For web sites or? other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software? installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). 5) Source Code will be well-documented in English. It must identify and explain the use of all variables, procedures,functions, forms, buttons,events 6) All 3rd party components and libraries and all external components and libraries must be identified and their use explained. 7) Complete System requirements, including DLL's/OCX's and other system files needed to be present, to use/run this product must be identified. 8) All images and graphics and photos must be royalty free and delivered with the code. 9) Detailed USER help files or audiovisual tutorial. 10) A Branding utility as described above 11) Product must be thoroughly tested on all platforms specified and reasonably free of bugs. ## Platform All Versions of Windows: Win 98/98SE/ME/NT 4/Win 2000/XP The viral elements may be stored and retrieved from a passworeded zip file attached to the exe. I want this program WRITTEN IN DELPHI .(D5 compatible) Do not use the Borland Database engine - use components such as the Topaz set Use of 3rd Party Components or Libraries IS permissible IF approved by us before use. Do NOT use .NET or MFC to develop this product. There are to be NO files or libraries or data to be written to the PC system directories or Registries in order to use this software. Program and all files must run from one directory. Database Elements Use a Dbase/XBase style database without requiring any external libraries (DLL, OCX) to access/use the database.
