We need code allowing us to recognize text located under the cursor and/or text highlighted in any application, and return this information to our application. Specifically, we need a module that does this: recognizes text (highlighted and/or positioned under the cursor) within virtually any application and then allows us to access the word or phrase in question. This may be done by intercepting screen fonts or even by OCR of text on the screen. (All bids must explain whether they are intercepting text or reading screen graphics via OCR.) Must work with Windows XP; preferred backward compatibility through Windows 98. Triggering the reading and sending of the word must be configurable, allowing one to choose various key-combinations (such as, right-click; control-click, etc.) Code must show how to install and uninstall the hook in the system. Please don't hesitate to write us for more information; we will answer all inquiries quickly.
