[If you dont know what Amazon S3 is, here is a link: <[login to view URL]>]
[This is also a repost. The previous developer finished most of the work but couldnt complete. We closed the project after the developer finished the passthrough mode (which handles the user authentication)]
We would like to create an API to a remote filesystem that uses the amazon s3 API for the following commands:
1. GET
2. PUT
3. DELETE
4. HEAD
5. LIST (this is GET on a bucket in amazon s3 jargon).
None of the other features of amazon s3 needs to be supported, i.e., there is no per user authentication (there is only one user), no bucket creation and/or deletion, no SOAP, no user management, etc. A plain apache server already provide most of this functionality except for amazon style authorization.
I'm aware of two major pieces of work
1. the server access logs need to be formatted to be similar to that of amazon s3.
2. converting the output of "list folder" to that of the amazon get bucket result.
A client should be able to use this API instead of the amazon's API.
For testing, we would like to use <[login to view URL]>.
We prefer PHP 5.x but since we do not expect the code to be large, your favorite programming language would do fine.
For PHP 5.x there is a well tested passthrough mode for Amazon S3 completed by the previous developer.
