Automation of web site uploads

We wish to automate the uploading of web pages onto our in-house company websites. This needs a VBA coding module which will access/open a remote web server location using a username and password and then copy the web pages onto the site. The remote sites are on Windows platforms and thus one solution is to temporarily create a network folder (on the local computer) and upload the pages, and then (for security reasons) delete the network folder. The VBA coding module will be added to a programme which generates the web pages from a local database.
