Club Fixtures and Ladder application

As part of an update to my clubs web page I want to provide a facility to view and update the upcoming sporting fixtures and then update the results and the associated ladder after the games have been played. In our club there are five divisions (1-5) of which each division has four teams (a total of 20 teams). Fixtures I want to load fixtures (for all 18 rounds) for each division (90 unique combinations). Each cell within the fixture list should be from a drop down list. This list should be available to all 5 divisions as each club can have teams in all divisions (ie. one master list). The number of teams and divisions should not be restricted as other clubs may have more or less than the 5 we have. Players On selection night the selectors will update the online table for each team in each division (80 names). The names must come from a master list, selected from an in cell drop down. So as to not have to enter all 80 names every week the team list should be a copy of the previous weeks list. A player cannot be selected in more than one team or division for any one week. The list should be sorted by Surname, First name and be shown the same way in the table cell. As part of the player list there are also four reserves chosen, these names need to show at the bottom of the list (like a different division). These reserves come from the same master list. Consistency The club also has a consistency ladder where all players (4 players) in a winning team (not division) get 2 points, 1 point for a draw and zero points for a loss. This ladder should be updated after the results are entered and visible to players on line. This should be sorted high points to low. Results After a round is complete I want to be able to enter the scores for Us vs Them on a team by team basis, plus a division points which can be calculated based on the info below. The points accrued needs to be explained (and should also be changeable). If a division has 4 teams there are a total of 8 points available to either team. If all 4 of our teams win they get 1 point for each win, plus an additional 4 points for scoring more in total (aggregate) than the other team. Lets say though that only 3 teams win from Team A, they would get 3 points for the wins, plus (assuming they score more in aggregate) the 4 points for the aggregate, giving Team A 7 points and Team B 1 point for the single team win. It does happen that Team A can win 3 games but lose the aggregate which would mean that Team B gets the 4 points for the aggregate, (plus at least 1 for winning a game), giving Team A 3 points and Team B 5 points. In some divisions there may be only 3 teams (not 4) and the total points available is 6 , one for each team win (max is 3) and then only 3 for the aggregate. Divisions do not have less than 3 or more than 4 teams per division. Ladder Each division has approximately 10 teams (variable) and the results for all games are published in the local paper. I want to be able to put the For and Against scores plus the division score (not team score) for each team and have a ladder automatically generate from that. Percentages can be calculated and displayed from that. Navigation. The method of navigation is open to design, however it must be quick to move between divisions, teams and players. I'm assuming that a new page for each table is not efficient so the design is open to you.. The process is driven in order by Division, Team, Player and you can navigate between them by clicking either link. Security. Everything must be secured by Admin access only. There is one level of security to the data, admin only. I am running the web page on a Word Press 3.1.1 templated site (running MySQL) using the Twenty Ten theme (but that can change).
